dream 06.17.05

I dreamt...

my ex from University was in my bed with me, there was another woman there to which I paid little attention. Things were getting intimate with him and all of a sudden he said - "don't touch me"- I said "why?" he said "I've been burned- my daughter knocked over a candle and when i tried to put it out my clothes were set on fire". I said " your daughter? - you married Sue?" - him" yes" I say are you happy? - or well, i guess not - if your in my bed.
Then we leave my room and it turns into a hotel swimming pool- in the 40's - I am wearing a 40's style bathing suit and an elaborate bathing cap - i dive in and am very happy swimming around. I come up for air and take off the bathing cap because I want to feel the water through my hair. When I dive back in there are movie theatre seats at the bottom of the pool and there is someone trying to clean up the area - but i keep swimming. My ex is in the water too and we are swimming around each other. He turns into Brad Pitt, but I know it is still him and underwater I say to him- you know I really loved you - he says - yes I know- i loved you too. We get out of the pool and are standing by an elevator- I ask if he is going home to his wife and he says yes - i should. He hands me flowers and steps into the elevator. The doors close and...
